In a September 14, 2023 “press release” on the x.com platform, Burbank City Council’s selected “Mayor” Konstantine Anthony claims outrage about the tremendous amount of criticism received following his decision to be spanked at a recent fundraiser. 88% of the Burbankers in a 10,000 resident survey stated he should be removed as “Mayor” of Burbank, a procedure as simple as a vote of the City Council under the current City’s Charter. “Most residents do not care about Mr. Anthony’s personal life, they care about the non-stop headline grabbing behavior he exhibits while persistently reminding people he is the ‘Mayor of Burbank’ at every event and in all his online posts,” said a person familiar with the matter.
